NHRA Legal Carburetor Base With Quick Releases

Upgrade your car with a clean, professional air cleaner mounting system that combines NHRA compliance with fast, tool-free removal.

Each assembly is hand-built to order, so please allow 2 weeks for production.

Starting with a 14" aluminum air cleaner base, the raised outer lip is machined off and the base is custom modified to accept USA-made Quick-Latches®. The mounting brackets bolt securely to the intake manifold and are designed to provide clearance for both the carburetor linkage and valve cover removal.

The spring-loaded Quick-Latches allow the air cleaner to be removed in seconds by simply pressing the two release buttons—no tools required.

This assembly is also designed to accommodate thick double carburetor base gaskets.

Installation Notes

1. Use washers under the mounting hardware to protect the aluminum brackets when installing them on the intake manifold.

2. When adjusting the Quick-Latches, leave a small amount of spring preload in the latched position. If adjusted too tightly with no remaining spring travel, the latches can be difficult to release.
